Karhu Suomi

#CentralHelsinki attracts design and architecture aficionados from around the world. They travel to see Finnish design characterized by minimalism and clean lines. Contemporary Finnish design combines these traditions with the current innovations and the latest technologies. Karhu has been following Finnish design principles and applying them to its products for 100 years. Christina is a marketing specialist and a graduate student from #CentralHelsinki. Studying in the early morning at the Helsinki Library is her favorite way to start the day. In the evenings she goes out to run around the library and through Senate Square.

Karhu Suomi

The Senate Square is one of the most frequently used locations for local runners to begin their training runs. Nearby and one of main landmarks of the city, the white Helsinki Cathedral, provides stairs for an additional workout. A typical route starting from the Senate Square continues through Katajanokka where giant cruiser ships are being loaded and unloaded for travelers and businessmen going to Sweden or Estonia. Old Market Hall next to the Market Square reopened in summer 2014 after a complete renovation. Stall keepers who have served customers for decades have returned to complement the attractive new restaurants and cafés.

#CentralHelsinki is the heart of Finland run by people with the finest Sisu spirit. If you ever come to visit, check out the @KarhuStore on Ateneuminkuja 4 to pick up the latest Karhu releases or attend the occasional group run.
