Factories have long dictated arch-less soles for mass production; however, this was never a construction consumers asked for. Karhu Ortix™ Fit features a three dimensional midsole to provide a superior fit under the foot.
Development & Prototyping Hand crafting the midsole and developing a sole set took over a year through trial and error. Ultimately, Karhu found the ideal shape after dozens of rounds of testing. The result is a fit that supports the arch while releasing pressure at the heel and forefoot. The TRIAD Cushioning design functions under the heel and at the first and fifth metatarsals to provide a soft landing and cushioned take off at common pressure points.
The Synchron Ortix™ is the first shoe in the collection to receive the Next Shape of Comfort. Designed for the runner or walker seeking comfort and plush ride, the Synchron Ortix™ features a full-length Fulcrum™ unit to create a smooth ride through the gait cycle.
The shoe features a 3D pressed tongue and booty construction for a sock-like fit around the foot, and seamless overlays in the forefoot to eliminate irritation at the toes.
